I think we finally decided on a name!!! The key word here being, "think". Maybe when he comes out we might have to change our minds, but for now, this is the name we decided on. Picking a name was all about the meanings for me, Bryan didn't care so much about that, he just wanted a masculine name and something that could not be made fun of. With a last name like Leuenberger, you have to think about these things. I always knew I wanted to use Bryan's middle name, Daniel, which means - "God is my Judge". Then I looked up the name, Jaxon (Jax for short), which means - "God has been gracious, He has shown His favor". So I got really excited because although God is our Judge, we can know that when we trust in Him, He will show is grace, compassion, favor and mercy on us. It just seemed perfect! So then I chose a verse to fit perfectly with his name, Psalm 61:1. It says, "God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us; that Your way be known on earth, Your salvation among the nations". I do pray that our little boy would trust in God's salvation for eternal life, and I pray that he would make God's name known on earth and glorify Him only. I can't think of a better prayer for our children and what a job we have as parents to teach our children to trust Jesus as our Savior. Lord, please give me the tools to raise my children to walk with you!
So...for now...

Its a Party...
So today our little buddy is 28 weeks old (well, technically -12 weeks because he's not due for another 12 weeks), but I think he decided to celebrate this special day because he has been partying all day. I don't think he's been still for more than a minute. At least one of us is getting some sort of work out because I certainly have been slacking in that area. Does walking around the mall returning clothes and shopping count as a work out? It probably doesn't help that I've eaten an entire box of E.L. Fudge cookies all to myself this week. Those are my favorite!!

Only 13 weeks left...yikes!
Holy Cow....as of yesterday I am 27 weeks along. When I think of it that way it doesn't seem so bad, but then I think of how much is left, and well, there's only 13 weeks left and that's if our little guy stays in there full term. I cannot believe how fast time has flown and that in just a few short weeks we will finally get to meet this little creature and see his face and know what he looks like, I'm just dying to know what he looks like.
With only 13 weeks to go I am starting to worry about all that needs to get done. Lets see, I have the crib and changing table, thanks to our precious neighbors who gave us theirs, now I just need to find a dresser to match it. My mom and Grandma and I went shopping for fabric the other day and with many hours of now finding what I was looking for, we finally found the perfect bedding fabric at Hobby Lobby, (thanks Hobby Lobby), and I can't wait for it to all come together. I know its going to be perfect. I have work to do, showers to plan, a house to get ready to go on the market, and a new house to finish and move into. Yikes-I hate packing, but I'm working on that while I have some time off. I'm having crazy dreams about his hands and feet sticking way out of my stomach, which is just strange, or that I'm going into labor super super early. I know they're just dreams-but it still freaks me out a little. Every little pain or sore or movement, I wonder-"Is this supposed to be happening?", "What does that pain mean?" Was that a Braxton-Hicks contraction?" Its so weird all these things you feel for your 1st pregnancy, and I know next time will be so much easier and better. At least I'll know what I'm dealing with.
Okay-I think that's enough scattered jumble for now-I'll put some pics of the bedding up as soon as its finished!

Christmas is almost here!!!
Holy Moly--I'm 25 weeks pregnant today! I cannot believe there are only 15 weeks left to go. We have been super busy around the house and with church and work so I haven't posted much and I'll try to take some more pictures soon-at least there will be more after Christmas--I'm sure there will be lots of photo opps!
This weekend will be a crunch to get all the rest of my shopping done, finish my Christmas cards (my hand started hurting last night so I took a break), and baking more goodies...I still need to make Bryan some Texas Trash--ooh that will be good for New Years Eve.
I'm bummed I'm going to miss out of my dad's delicious Egg Nog Martinis this year, I'll just settle for sparkling cider and not have to worry about how much I'm drinking.
No names yet--we'll figure it soon and I'll let you guys know. Its not going to be a secret, but for some reason I'm just not comfortable saying any names out loud yet--once I start doing that I'll let everyone know.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and a wonderful time with your families over the next week. I love this time of year and am going to be sad when it all passes away. Remember to thank our God, who sent His Son into the world to save us from ourselves. We cannot get so focused on gifts and spending or even our families - Jesus was born and the miracle of God's love began to take place in the flesh. I am so amazed at His grace and love and forgiveness and I often forget to sit and rest in God's peace, especially during this time. Thank you God for sending your Son, Jesus, to die in my place so that I could spend eternity with you. I love you!
